Due to a lack of funds and manpower, the Beechwood Recreation Association pool will not open for the 2025 summer season.  While not an easy decision, it is one that the Board feels is necessary for the benefit of the association moving forward.

 

For the past decade, our pool has faced the risk of closure.  Thanks to the tireless efforts of dedicated volunteers, employees, and grace given by city inspectors, we have managed to open our gates each summer. However, there has never been enough financial support or manpower to address the long-term maintenance, repairs, or sustainable growth of the pool, clubhouse, and surrounding areas.  This temporary closure will allow for necessary repairs and updates that will significantly improve the pool’s condition and ensure its longevity for years to come.  During this time, the clubhouse will continue to be available for rentals and events to build funds.

 

In an effort to complete these repairs and updates, Beechwood Recreation Association is embarking on a new path. We are in the process of transitioning the association into a formal 501(3)(c) non-profit organization.  While this change will take time, it will better enable us to access grants and donor support to fund our enhancements.
